Derby Connected Information

Connected is an initiative in Derby that aims to encourage local people to live more sustainable lifestyles, by providing the right motivation, information and incentives to get them personally interested in making a positive change. The primary focus of Connected is to Keep Derby Moving by increasing participation in the use of sustainable travel options, including cycling, walking, public transport and car-sharing. We seek to do this by providing dependable travel information, developing attractive offers, giving one-to-one support and changing attitudes. Whilst we focus mainly on sustainable travel, Connected for Business aims to help local organisations to develop wholly more sustainable business practices. This shift will contribute towards regenerating the city, increasing employment opportunities, reducing road congestion and lowering pollution, whilst at the same time bringing other direct benefits to all the businesses that take part. If your company operates in Derby, Connected for Business can offer a comprehensive package of products and services which include grant funding opportunities, one-to-one support and offers that can help both you and your employees. Connected has been developed in close partnership with a range of businesses in Derby, big and small, and is supported by D2N2 and the Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce.
