Deppo was one of Türkiye’s pioneering e-commerce companies, established in Istanbul in July 1999 and launched online in May 2000. Built at a time when online shopping was still a bold and unfamiliar idea, Deppo became one of Türkiye’s leading online retailers and operated for 15 remarkable years, from 1999 to 2014. More than an online retail platform, Deppo was a vision brought to life with courage, resilience, innovation, and an unshakable belief in the future of digital commerce. Led by Esra Talu, Deppo helped shape the foundations of Türkiye’s e-retail ecosystem. It brought together technology, retail, logistics, customer relationship management, digital marketing, online payments, content management, and customer experience long before these became standard building blocks of modern commerce. From electronics and fashion to home goods and lifestyle products, Deppo aimed to make online shopping more accessible, reliable, and customer-focused for Turkish consumers. Along the way, it introduced many customers, partners, brands, and professionals to a new way of buying, selling, communicating, and building business in the digital age.
