Karmen Leather was established in 1959 as a retail store in the heart of Istanbul. After creating business relations with European and American visitors to Turkey, Karmen decided to open a manufacturing facility upon demand, concentrating in exports to department stores, specialty stores and designers all over the world under the name Derkon. The first export from Turkey to the USA was made under the name DERKON in 1962 and re-established the name to Karmen Leather in 2006. Karmen Leather continues the tradition of being vertically integrated in all aspects of business. We offer a FULL PACKAGE experience to customers from supplying leather/shearling skins and trims to pattern/sample making to production and in-house QC. We also import skins or trims upon customer request from designated vendors and/or sell leather as an added service to be shipped to designated factories. We attend all international Leather trade fairs and are in close cooperation with significant Italian, Spanish and Turkish tanneries to stay updated and implement the latest trends.
