The Department of Finance was set up in Ajman, subject to the Amiri Decree No.(15) of year 2012, to replace the the Financial and administrative department which was established according to amiri decree number (4) of the year 2010, to be the central competent authority in the emirate for taking over and disposing the financial affairs, overcoming and prevailing the administrative and organizational financial- related affairs' resolutions which are being issued by any of the governmental departments of Ajman government. The main responsibilities for DoF Ajman: 1-Preparing public government accounts and public sector budgets, in accordance with the standard financial system of the Government of the Emirate and with the cooperation and coordination with all government departments. 2-Preparing drafts of the local laws and decrees relating to public finance, to supervise the implementation thereof, and to periodically review all local legislations relating to the applicable financial affairs. 3-To prepare periodic and standard financial reports of the Government of Ajman. 4-To organize the government accounting rules and issue the instructions required for applying the rules and to supervise the implementation thereof. 5-To provide consultancy and technical support to the government departments in applying the standard financial system of the Government of the Emirate.
