Deism Information

Deism is offering humanity the opportunity to live and progress completely free of fear and superstition. As Thomas Paine said, "We have it within our power to begin the world over again. This is true because Deism lifts our spiritual beliefs out of the ancient mire of the "revealed" religions. As Deists we no longer fear God, we love God. We no longer buy into the claims of the ancient Hebrews that "God's name is Jealous" ( Exodus 34:14), that God told Abraham to kill his son to see if Abraham feared God enough to actually do it (Genesis 22:12 ) or that the Sun orbits the Earth ( Joshua 10:12 ), etc., etc. And most importantly for real progress in the here and now on our beautiful planet and in our lives and in the lives of our children and grandchildren Deism holds the key to true progress by going against the fear based teachings of the Bible which says "fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge" ( Proverbs 1:7 ) and instead embracing the strong belief which lead to the truly great civilizations of ancient Greece and Rome, the belief and realization that the beginning of wisdom is wonder! Deism can help create this amazing and truly progressive new world only if it has the necessary resources to accomplish this vital goal. This is where you, the individual Deist, comes in. Currently Deism is virtually unknown. The only way we can see to it that Deism reaches its full beautiful potential is for every Deist to DO all they can to let others know there is such a thing as Deism and that they're not stuck with only "revealed" religions, Atheism and Agnosticism. Word of mouth is very important in reaching those around us. Also, printing out our free Deist leaflets and distributing them in your area is another great way to get the word out and to enlighten people about Deism. Another critical part of making Deism a household word is advertising. Advertising is crucial to the progress of Deism!
