Flat-panel display technology is now commonplace at home, in the office, at entertainment venues but also in automotive, mobile and wearable technologies. This results in increasing global demand for Cover Glass and TFT-LCD–thin film transistor liquid crystal display panels. From WWII until now most products including displays have been quality inspected by hand and the naked eye. A less common alternative to human inspection are CCD enabled AOI systems, which take pictures from 12-18 inches away. Our product is an automated quality control scanner with more than 43,000 lenses generating fingerprint-like images of each panel display part in the supply chain from less than 2 inches away. Our software compares and contrasts the captured images to a perfect blueprint of the scanned item evaluating them based on complex criteria chosen by our customers. In less than 20 seconds the images and data are securely uploaded to the cloud for customer review from anywhere in the world.
