Deep Design Systems Information

Deep Design Systems (DDS) is a deep-tech company and official spin-off of the Universidade da Coruña, linked to the CITIC research centre. DDS builds AI decision infrastructure for complex problems in the early stages of industrial product development: problems with several stakeholders, open objectives, conflicting criteria and incomplete evidence. Its decision platform, Design Engines, connects simulation, evidence and traceability so that design and engineering teams can compare alternatives and become aware of the consequences of their decisions before they become expensive to change. Design Engines determines what evidence a design decision needs, what that evidence supports, what remains uncertain and what a person can responsibly decide. Aeroflow, the first DDS evidence engine, provides experimental AI-assisted aerodynamic evaluation for early design stages. It is not a replacement for high-fidelity CFD; it is a decision layer before it. DDS builds on peer-reviewed scientific research in simulation, neural compression of flow fields and synthetic data, published by members of the DDS team and collaborators. DDS was founded on a concern that remains its compass: when anything can be generated, the harder question is what deserves to exist. Engineering tools solve well-defined problems faster. Design Engines helps when the problem itself is not yet well defined. Generation is becoming abundant. Judgement is becoming scarce.
