Our guiding day normally begins at 9.00 am, when your guide (you will know who will be guiding you at the time you make your booking) will meet you at Rainbow Lodge or your alternative accommodation. While being guided, we provide all tackle (this includes a range of top-quality Sage fly rods, Scientific Angler fly lines and Lamson fly reels), flies, leaders and other bits and pieces needed for the day, as well as morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. All drinks are provided, including a range of soft drinks or bottled water at lunch. We are also able to provide wet weather clothing and warm coats, hats and gloves if the weather turns inclement. We will return you to Rainbow Lodge or your accommodation when the fish stop biting or at a time you request, however we will usually have you back by 7.00 pm. Early starts or late finishes are possible when conditions are favourable, or if you prefer them, but as the best fishing is mainly between 11 am and 6 pm, it's often best to have a relaxed start to the day. When out on the water, we urge you to ask ALL questions you may have - be they big or small. Our aim is for you to learn as many tips, tricks and techniques as possible, so that you can repeat the experience when fishing on your own. At Rainbow Lodge we have a selection of Tasmanian red and whites wines as well as Tasmanian premium beer which you may purchase; alternatively you are welcome to bring your own. We recommend that you bring your own spirits to Rainbow Lodge with you.

Prossers on the Beach was established in 1986 as Hobart's first true waterfront restaurant.
