De Cecco began as a mill in Fara San Martino, Abruzzo in 1831. Filippo De Cecco started making pasta there and built a low-temperature drying system that freed production from the weather. The family has run the company ever since, handing the work from one generation to the next. Since 1886 our pasta has come from selected wheat, fresh semolina from our own mill, bronze dies, slow drying at low temperature and quality control at every stage. Abruzzo remains the center of production. The range grew from there. The olive oil business was the first to be added, followed by tomato products and sauces, gnocchi and organic, gluten free and protein lines. Everything for an Italian meal. PMI Inc.
