DAY Studio Information

DAY Studio is founded by Doğanberk Demir and Yeşim Eröktem in 2015. Yeşim and Doğanberk had their masters degree from ECAL, Lausanne following their bachelors at İstanbul Technical University. Yeşim has started as a freelance designer in İstanbul after graduating and Doğanberk has worked for BarberOsgerby in London, Verreum in Prague and Gaia&Gino in İstanbul. The studio works on furniture, lighting, table-top accessories, textile designs as well as industrial products and packaging for the industry. Besides collaborations with brands and companies the studio has its own product and furniture line. DAY focuses on local manufacturing techniques and local craftsman from low to hi-tech depending on the project, taking advantage of İstanbul's rich crafts culture. Yeşim and Doğanberk fuses their Turkish origins with a contemporary approach to create simple and functional everyday objects, taking their inspiration from streets of İstanbul, everyday life, local culture and their travels.
