We help people restart their careers in research. Our unique fellowships provide an opportunity for someone who has had a career break from research for two years or more, taken for family, caring or health reasons to return to work with the skills and confidence they need to succeed. We’re the only charity in the UK that works with returners across all areas of research and technical professions. We specifically focus on people who need our help the most – those who have had a career break for two years or more, whether taken for family, caring or health reasons. Our fellowships are fully flexible and can be undertaken in universities, research institutions, industry or other settings relevant to the fellowship - across all research remits. We work with people from their first point of contact through their application. For those who are awarded, our mentorship continues throughout the fellowship and beyond. This unparalleled support helps fellows to return to their careers with the skills and confidence they need to succeed. We also help organisations that fund and host our fellows meet their Equality, Diversity and Inclusion goals, creating opportunities for marginalised groups and broadening the composition of the research workforce.
