Success Story on Vocational Training – Join our Mission to Train the Myanmar Youth You may have heard that young people in Myanmar are successfully trained and educated in the dual education system. To ensure the continued existence of the school, we are looking for partners who are interested in supporting CVT Myanmar projects both morally and financially. Here’s our story: CVT - Center for Vocational Training - is a high quality standard vocational training school inspired by the Swiss dual educational system, founded by Swiss citizen Max-O. Wey in 2002. The goal of CVT is, and has always been, to significantly improve the vocational education in Myanmar, train and secure future employment for the younger under-privileged generation in the country. Over 600 apprentices have successfully completed a diploma since the opening of our vocational training school as a cabinet makers, electricians, metal workers, commercial assistants and hotel- and gastronomy assistants. In addition, the E4Y School yearly offers education to + 100 under-privileged school drop-outs aged 11-15. CVT now has started capacity building projects including instructor training courses, certified instructor programs and a post graduate program for young entrepreneurs. With support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, a modern new CVT school is being built in the Thingangyun Township in Yangon in 2016/17. In the future, CVT will be able to double the intake of students in the vocational training programs, 1000 apprentices in total. We work closely with over 500 training companies to make sure the curriculum in our programs and courses mirror the need in the industry.
