Crowd.Science (formerly Walacea.com) is a crowdfunding platform dedicated to science. In the UK there is £10 billion of research that is not funded, not because of quality but because of lack of funds. We want to give scientists a new funding option through crowdfunding. To date over £750k has been pledged to projects on Crowd.Science from 3.4k members of the public, 12 businesses and one philanthropists. We host a broad range of projects that appeal to different audiences form rare diseases, conservation, forensic science and more. Our only rule is that the science must benefit society in some way.
