Crossroads Diversified Services (CDS) is a nonprofit putting people back to work since 1977 – creating high quality jobs for people with disabilities and providing support and employment services to job seekers. We value self-sustainability: launching a for-profit business, which today generates more than 40% of our income. That enterprise, Crossroads Facility Services (CFS), is one of few companies providing both indoor and outdoor commercial facility services. Employing individuals with disabilities: -More than 50% of our workforce at CDS is disabled -Annual total wages Crossroads pays to individuals with disabilities: nearly $2.4 million -Average hourly wage earned by a Crossroads employee with disabilities: $16.19/hour Providing services to job seekers: -More than 4000 individuals served in the last 12 months at the Sacramento Works Career One-Stop Centers in which Crossroads operates -Through various youth programs, which Crossroads administers for community partners and workforce agencies, we provided nearly 700 youths with supported education, employment prep, job-readiness and job placement services in the last 12 months -Provided counseling to nearly 350 SSI/SSDI recipients in order to help them gain a better understanding of their public benefits and what impact it would have to that income should they find gainful employment -Hosted 75 events in the last 12 months for local employers, including recruitment/job fairs and business development activities
