A unique design gallery with an eclectic selection of furniture, lighting and objects from around the world, CRITERIA privileges limited edition and atelier-based production; a judicious mix of established brands adds unexpected nuance. Founder and creative director Rachael Fry studied at Parsons School of Design, New York, and her curatorial approach is anchored in a deep understanding of the métier. Installed in a heritage listed building in the heart of Melbourne's South Yarra, the interior of CRITERIA is purposefully restrained, the better to showcase exclusive pieces imported from design capitals including New York, Milan and Paris but also Antwerp, Gotland and Lisbon. Arranged with an air of simplicity and elegance, the CRITERIA collection is a savvy melange of historic and contemporary works, all eminently collectible.
