Established in 1831, The King's School is located on 320 acres in the heart of Australia's largest global city. It offers a quality education for boys Pre-K to Year 6 at its IB Preparatory School & a Senior School which has an exceptional boarding program & facilities for Years 7 to 12. An internationally recognised leader in boy’s education, the School has a diverse student body drawn from across Sydney, rural, remote & international regions.
Tudor House, set on 160 acres in the Southern Highlands of NSW, offers a co-educational primary years education from Pre-K to Yr 6 and boarding for Years 3 to 6.
The King's School seeks to make an outstanding impact through its students for the good of society, and by the quality of its teaching and its leadership in education. We believe there is more to education than the mere inculcation of knowledge with the 'occasional' inclusion of co-curricular and sports activities. The commitment to students at King's is to provide academic excellence with character development in the context of a Christian community. That they might graduate as leaders with wisdom and integrity for a world in need. This was the founding purpose of the School by King William IV in 1831 for the emerging colony of NSW at that time, and remains our mission today. Outstanding staff are role models who lead and guide students in their growth and development.
The distinctive King's uniform is the oldest military uniform worn in Australia, and is wonderfully symbolic of what it means to be a Kingsman - one who is willing to live under authority and committed to living their life in service of others. The uniform, largely unchanged over nearly 200 years, has been worn with pride from generation to generation.
So much more than an education – The King’s School is a learning adventure with space to grow, be challenged, and belong. Our valued Old Boys [Bravely and Faithfully] and Old Tudorians [In God I trust] are at the heart of our School.
Trinity aims to provide boys with a thoroughly Christian education.
Challenge: There are a challenging breadth of educational opportunities available to Trinitarians. We require and encourage them to lean into the challenges that they face, and to seek to overcome obstacles.
Growth: The School celebrates excellence in performance, but growth is the more important lens through which we look.
Supportive, caring communities:
Trinity strives to be a community that considers, includes, and cares for others. In partnership with families, we aim to ensure our students are adequately and appropriately supported, at whatever stage of their development, to give them every chance of experiencing success. They do not face their battles alone; their School is for them.
Character: Our world needs men who are decent and trustworthy, and our School aims to play our role in shaping them.
The true value of a Trinity education is seen in the character of our men in the years long after their graduation.
SCEGGS is a unique school in the heart of Australia's busiest city, with a small population of 900 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. It is not an academically selective school but it achieves outstanding academic results. Our students learn, not only the curriculum, but to feel comfortable within themselves, sure of their strengths and able to work as independent, confident and articulate members of the community. The school emphasises the worth of the individual, personal integrity and social responsibility.
SCEGGS girls stand out. They value individuality and independence of mind. Our school is small enough to be a safe and friendly environment where each girl feels known, valued and nurtured, yet large enough to provide depth across a range of programs. SCEGGS girls are "savvy" and certainly at ease in a city environment.
SCEGGS has a reputation for excellence. We are renowned for our academic success in examinations, challenging curriculum and broad range of co-curricular activities.
The Christian faith and its values underpin all that we do at SCEGGS. In religious education questioning, debate, research and inquiry are conducted in an open environment. Girls are given the freedom to explore their spirituality and to come up with their own answers. Because our students see aspects of real disadvantage within the community around us, we are able to encourage our girls to live their lives with compassion, courage and a determination to benefit society. SCEGGS girls understand something of life's complexities.
Our talented staff are the heart of everything SCEGGS has achieved. We attract and maintain the highest quality staff to deliver an outstanding education to our girls.
We value the development of accomplished, confident well-rounded young women. We strive to achieve excellence in all areas – academic, co-curriculum, social justice and pastoral care, emotional and spiritual development.
