CENTRAL QUEENSLAND INDIGENOUS DEVELOPMENT (CQID) ACKNOWLEDGES the Traditional Owners of the land on which we live, work and meet, and pays respect to Elders past and present, and those who are emerging leaders in the communities across our service footprint. WE ACKNOWLEDGE the many footprints of those who have gone before us and honour their contribution to culture, families and communities. Central Queensland Indigenous Development (CQID) is a proud, community-controlled organisation committed to strengthening the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across its service footprint throughout regional Queensland. Employing more than 260 people, with over 85% of its workforce identifying as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, the organisation is grounded in cultural knowledge, lived experience and strong community connection. CQID’s services are grounded in genuine connection, cultural understanding and respect, delivering community-led outcomes that create lasting impact for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. CQID walks alongside communities, not ahead of them, believing strong futures are built through culture, connection, opportunity and self-determination.
