Our BCI Platform: Brain Interchange™ Alongside our CDMO operations, CorTec is developing Brain Interchange™, a fully implantable, wireless, closed-loop BCI platform currently in FDA-authorized clinical evaluation. In April 2026, the system received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation for stroke motor rehabilitation, the first BCI worldwide with this designation for this indication. Three patients have been successfully implanted; the platform is also being evaluated for epilepsy (Mayo Clinic), paralysis (UMC Utrecht) and treatment-resistant depression.
