COOP Information

COOP is working to build a diverse movement of upwardly mobile first-gen college grads overcoming underemployment through digital skills and peer connections. We want to reignite our nation’s promise of upward mobility for those who strive to achieve a brighter future for themselves and their families—to ensure the American Dream is a reality for all. We will ensure that first-generation and low-income college grads make the connections they need for the careers they deserve. Across our sites in New York City, Bay Area, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami, we’ve launched 700+ cohorts since 2014, welcoming almost 10,000 alumni in our first 12 years. Our alumni are 2.3x more likely to overcome underemployment within a year than the national average, earning an average of $55,000 per year and almost $75,000 after five years. COOP aims to bridge the gap between college and career fueling upward mobility and fulfilling the promise of higher education.
