Everybody faces challenges in their lives. Nobody should have to face those challenges alone. Community Solutions makes sure they don't have to. For 50 years, Community Solutions has responded to the growing and changing behavioral health needs of children, families, and adults in Santa Clara and San Benito Counties. As the most comprehensive nonprofit human service provider in our region, we serve over 6000 individuals each year who are facing significant challenges due to mental illness, domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, substance disorders, severe family dysfunction, and homelessness. Our mission is to create opportunities for positive change by promoting and supporting the full potential of individuals, the strengths of families, and the well being of our community. We advance our mission by building emotionally healthy families, youth, and individuals, and increasing their interdependence, self-reliance, and safety. We provide wellness and recovery-based behavioral health services, empowerment-based domestic violence and sexual assault services, and strength-based prevention and intervention services.

As you read this, AIDS, malaria, hunger, malnutrition, and starvation are claiming the lives of our world’s most vulnerable individuals: the poor and displaced. At this very moment 1.2 billion children are at risk of dying from starvation alone. 24,000 children die each day. 170,000 children die each week. The numbers are heartbreaking. A response is critical. Our vision is to feed, clothe, educate, raise, and give hope and a future to hundreds of thousands of widows and orphans through the love of Jesus Christ, thus living out the Gospel. The demonstration of this work will result in an awakening of the love for serving others by the Spirit of God causing a revival in the Body of Christ. Partners in Action is a vital part of over 50 causes in 27 countries. When they need it most, we are there with our Umbrella of Hope. Our mission for almost 30 years continues to be to come alongside these heroes, whether around the corner or around the world, to allow them to do what they do best - help others!
