COMPUTER FRIENDLY ST ALBANS Information

Computer Friendly is a non-profit organisation staffed by a team of 55 experienced unpaid volunteers. They run drop-ins at 9 locations in St Albans, Harpenden, London Colney, Flamstead, and Redbourn from 8 January 2024. They offer information, advice/guidance, beginner’s and advanced classes in Tablets, Smartphones and PC Microsoft software in three locations across St Albans and Harpenden. The aim of the charity is to assist anyone in St Albans and District, including disadvantaged and excluded people in gaining valuable digital skills to keep in touch with others or use tools such as Excel, Powerpoint and Word. Attendees range from those who are retired, unemployed or disabled or from other diverse groups. They also refurbish Laptops, Tablets and Smartphones, and since January 2021 have given away nearly 700 devices. Donations of devices are always welcomed.
