CommuniGift brings to the evolving landscape of philanthropy a platform that enables birthday hosts to invite guests to the party and send a birthday gift to a child who would otherwise go without. We’re rethinking the $4.5bn spent annually on kids’ birthday gifts by creating an experience that celebrates empathy at an early age. Our model provides deep gratification for our users and significant returns for our business while driving large-scale impact. We’ve launched 3 markets in the 9 months following our pilot, expanding our network of national nonprofit and retail partners. Week over week growth has continued since April, with a viral coefficient exceeding 4.5. We are fully funded, generating revenue, and have moved into a new office in the heart of Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C. as we prepare for several regional market expansions in the coming months.
