COMET.Training is the branding and registered portal for The Penny Ferry (Pty) Ltd who manages the distribution of e-learning training programs developed in cooperation with various close Associates. The Penny Ferry (Pty) Ltd in addition authors, develops and produces technical, environmental, marine, health and safety training courses for the industry, under the trading brand of Penny Ferry Training. Courses are developed to suit LMS (Learning Management Systems), and can consist of a combination of Video, PowerPoint, Text, Pictorial and other teaching aids. Where recommended, practical and practice will be done at the client's premises, or at suitable premises recommended by us. Penny Ferry Company (Pty) Ltd has an agreement with COMET Corporation (Coastal and marine Eco-Tourism Corporation - NPC ) to develop and produce required Training Material to COMET Corporation at cost, and to distribute such courses free-of-charge to COMET Community Training projects. In return Penny Ferry is able to offer these courses at a charge to the commercial markets, while donating a percentage of the revenue from all courses to COMET Corporation.
