Coltishall Primary Information

Coltishall and Horstead Preschool is a committee run group catering for children from 2 years old until they start school. We have close links with Coltishall Primary School, which we visit once a week during the Summer term to read books in the library. Relations have also been fostered with the local community where we work on our own allotment and regularly visit places in the village throughout the year. Our policy at the Preschool is to create a stimulating and safe environment in which children can develop their skills through play and in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. Children's needs are provided for through a wide range of games, arts and crafts activities, cookery, interactive computer programmes and many other creative mediums. There is singing, dancing, music, storytelling and outdoor play. We are able to offer government funded places for any child from the start of the term following their 3rd birthday. We also have the facilities to offer 2 year old funded places if required criteria are met. Session times during the school term are Monday to Wednesday 9am to 3pm and Thursday to Friday 9am to 12 noon.
