Speaking in Colour acknowledges and pays respect to the past, present and future Traditional Custodians and Elders of this nation and the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Speaking in Colour delivers training and workshops to educate, equip and encourage businesses and educators to understand and embrace Aboriginal cultures. A 100% Aboriginal owned provider of training and cultural immersion workshops, Speaking in Colour has built a solid reputation for presenting thought-provoking training, innovative workshops, easy-to-use educational resources, and E-learning programs in safe and non-threatening environments. Across NSW, we support a broad spectrum of our community. From corporate business and government bodies, to community groups, regional art galleries, schools, pre-schools and higher education institutions. All presenters are Aboriginal, and the delivery of our programs including sharing personal experiences with the professional tools we provide, to help embrace Aboriginal perspectives and foster powerful, positive relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people from childhood through to adulthood. Distinguishing cultural safety from cultural awareness and cultural sensitivity is not a political correctness. It is correcting the lack of education we as Australians have had access to about Australian Aboriginal people and culture and understanding how our actions today can help close the gap evident as a result of the past.
