CMEC works to enable MPs and Peers to better understand the Middle East, and to build understanding between the wider UK and the whole region. By taking delegations to countries across the region, CMEC allows parliamentarians to gain a unique, first-hand understanding of the Middle East. CMEC's work extends well beyond Parliament, organising debates, social events, discussions and podcasts on politics, arts and culture. CMEC welcomes membership and involvement of new members of any party-political affiliation or none.
