Clyste is an open-source, user-owned, and governed social media platform. Using blockchain, data is encrypted and stored on a peer to peer network and utility and security tokens are used to represent: Voting: each user votes on how the platform should develop; and Equity: tradable cryptocurrency that will be used to pay developers who may then liquidate their shares for cash income. Voting online using blockchain allows for greater transparency and speed in the decision making process. While Equity payment allows for Clyste Coins to grow in value as the platform grows in features and users - allowing developers to get paid more money for the same amount of work if they don’t liquidate their shares until the platform matures and goes public. We believe that combining open source development with blockchain technology will enable us to create a more secure platform that our users enjoy because they decide how it is designed and developed.
