Clovis Dive Club Information

Clovis Dive Club is a USA Diving and AAU year-round competitive diving program that offers high-quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of Clovis Dive Club is to provide every member with an opportunity to improve diving skills and achieve success at his/her level of ability, from novice to international competitor. All Clovis Dive Club coaches, as members of USA Diving and AAU, have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches in the United States. They provide assurances that the time children spend in diving will be quality time. Clovis Dive Club has access to the Olympic diving facility at Clovis West High School in addition to numerous local diving facilities throughout Clovis and Fresno. In order to help divers better understand the dynamics of their dives, we occasionally utilize a competition-size trampoline with a spotting rig and harness. We also have access to a sparger (bubbler) system to produce large bubbles of air in the water, which minimizes pain that divers may feel when dives are performed incorrectly. W e are in the process of funding and obtaining more training equipment including a sparger system, on-deck trampoline, and dryland diving board. All Clovis Dive Club coaches are CPR and First Aid certified, and Clovis Dive Club is administered by Clovis Unified School District. All members are encouraged to be involved in team activities and fundraisers. We are constantly growing and training young divers to maintain a well-rounded competitive diving team.
