After a decade of directing early-stage investments, starting in 2013, Click Ventures—founded by Carman Chan—evolved into a single-family office in 2022. As a single-family office, Click Ventures no longer invests directly in early-stage startups or launches new venture funds. Instead, the firm embraces an endowment model, focusing on asset allocation across private and public market funds. About Carman Chan Carman Chan has over 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship and internet innovation, having turned down a PhD offer from Imperial College London to pursue opportunities in the internet sector. Carman’s first startup, EnglishStreet (ES), was recognized as a business case in the Harvard Business Review database and was later acquired by Hong Kong Economic Times (0423.HK). A second startup merged with a Taiwan-based company and was acquired by FarEastone (4904.TW). For eight years, Carman contributed as a columnist to multiple magazines and newspapers on topics ranging from SEO and internet marketing to online business models. A keen interest in brain research and learning techniques led to authoring several best-selling books in these areas. Launched angel investing activities in 2013, the same year as welcoming a second child. Founded Click Ventures in 2015 and invested in over 40 internet and mobile-focused startups, from seed stage to late stage. Since 2022, the focus has shifted to investing as an LP in private market funds, with Click Ventures managed by Carman and her husband. As of 2025, Click Ventures has allocated investments into 20 funds, including 5+ funds with more than $1 billion AUM each, as well as supporting emerging managers with $50 million funds.
