Clean Oceans International's mission is to reduce Oceanic plastic pollution through Research, Innovation and Direct action. Clean Oceans International (COI) is an environmental non-profit organization formed in Santa Cruz, California, to provide practical solutions to plastic pollution. COI collaborates with Cabrillo College and University of California Santa Cruz classes to educate the next generation of decision makers on the plastic problem and potential effective responses. COI is reducing the size and cost of portable plastic to fuel (PPTF) conversion in individual communities to motivate localized reduction in unmanaged plastic waste reaching the environment. PTF inspires through the most American of ideals, profit. If collecting and converting plastic will make money it will happen in all cultures and across all language barriers. COI is removing the barriers to localized PTF opportunity.
