Clairmont Oaks is a retirement community located in the heart of Decatur, Georgia providing housing to persons 62 years of age or older under the guidelines of the Section 236 program of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Clairmont Oaks is a 14 story high-rise building with 297 efficiency and one-bedroom apartments. Each apartment is equipped with individually-controlled thermostats for heating and air conditioning, a full bath, large closets, fully-equipped kitchens, and emergency communication devices for safety and security. There are numerous public areas where a resident may socialize and participate in a variety of enrichment and leisure-time activities. There is a hair salon, library, fitness and computer centers on site, as well as laundry facilities on each floor. Transportation is provided to shopping malls and grocery stores.
