When Civerinos started out, Mr C wanted to create the kind of place you could hang out with family and friends. A cool, independent, family-owned neighbourhood slice bar based on his time in NYC and nod to his Italian roots. The journey so far has been incredible. Staying true to Nonna’s own recipes and throwing in some NYC attitude (that nonna would have backhanded you for), Civerinos has been serving New York, Italian street to Edinburgh for the last 7 years and now we are dedicated to bringing that same authenticity to Glasgow and beyond. At Civs, we aren’t wanting to be the biggest and the best, we are wanting to be your favourite. Your favourite place to work and everyone’s favourite place to grab a slice. This is our tone throughout the business. Be humble, be kind and f&*king smash it! Here’s what's about to happen: We want to become a household name, and build a brand that stands the test of time. We are firmly established in Edinburgh but that’s just the beginning. We’re already planning for our next move after Glasgow and the goal is to operate nationwide in cities across the UK. We also want to be the best place to work. Hospitality is a great career, but it’s been given a bad name. We are trying to redefine global perceptions of the Scottish food industry in how we present ourselves, how we treat our staff, our food, service and overall customer experience.
