The company's first offering is Cilk++, a set of products that allow rapid development of reliable, high performance applications for chip multiprocessors. Cilk++ is inspired by the award-winning Cilk multithreading language, the result of 15 years of research at MIT led by Professor Charles E. Leiserson, Cilk Arts' Founder and CTO. Cilk Arts is funded by Stata Venture Partners, a group of successful software industry executives, founders and board members, and a grant from the National Science Foundation.
