Established in 2009, Choc Lit is an independent publisher, specialising in quality women's fiction with romantic content, where the writing clearly develops the hero's point of view. Not surprisingly, we believe that the enjoyment of a good read is enhanced by the taste of chocolate. Our debut novel, The Importance of Being Emma by Juliet Archer, won The Big Red Reads Fiction Award and was also short-listed for the Melissa Nathan Award for Comedy Romance. Our first historical, Trade Winds by Christina Courtenay, was short-listed for the 2011 Romantic Novelists' Association's Award for Best Historical Fiction and Christina's second novel, The Scarlet Kimono won the 2011 Big Red Reads Best Historical Fiction Award. 2011 success continued with Love & Freedom by Sue Moorcroft winning the Best Romantic Read Award at the Festival of Romance. In 2012 we had three novels, The UnTied Kingdom, Please Don't Stop the Music and Highland Storms short-listed for the Romantic Novel of the Year Award from the Romantic Novelists' Association. Highland Storms and Please Don't Stop the Music won Best Romantic Historical and Best Romantic Comedy Novel of the Year with Please Don't Stop the Music winning the overall Romantic Novel of the Year.
