Laurent-Perrier is the only House whose most prestigious and exacting Cuvée, Grand Siècle, is not vintage but numbered. It is a blend of 3 exceptional vintages in order to recreate the perfect year. Chardonnay Chardonnay is the majority grape variety in all of the House’s wines, with the exception of Cuvée Rosé and Alexandra Rosé. The Chardonnay grape variety brings freshness, finesse and elegance to the blends, and makes the Laurent-Perrier style so distinct from other Houses. Innovation is essential to the quality of wines Innovation has allowed Laurent-Perrier to be the first to create ‘Cuvées de rupture’, successively Grand Siècle, ‘Cuvée d’Assemblage’, Cuvée Rosé, a maceration rosé and Ultra Brut, though this category did not exist before and most recently Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature, a champagne with no dosage. All these Cuvées are innovations in the world of champagne.

Captivated by its intensity, he began a journey to bottle the essence of Marlborough and share it with the world. David and winemaker Kevin Judd launched Cloudy Bay with a promise of uncompromising quality from grape to glass. It’s been that way ever since. Cloudy Bay’s legacy began in Marlborough with Sauvignon Blanc and now includes Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pelorus méthode traditionnelle. The spirit of adventure continues with Te Koko, a barrel-fermented Sauvignon Blanc, and Te Wahi, a sophisticated Central Otago Pinot Noir. Our goal is to connect people to our home through each glass of wine, evoking New Zealand’s natural wonder and sense of simple luxury. Established in 1868, Henschke is a sixth generation family-owned winery with over 145 years of grapegrowing and winemaking experience. Stephen and Prue Henschke, the fifth generation of the Henschke winemaking family are working towards sustainability in their vineyards using organic and biodynamic principles. The Henschke family has been making wine since Johann Christian Henschke planted a small vineyard on his diverse farming property at Keyneton in 1862. He was one of many Silesians who had fled their homeland in search of religious freedom, and he arrived from Kutschlau in 1841. The wine was initially intended for consumption by family and friends, but with the first commercial release in 1868, believed to be principally riesling and shiraz, the wheels were set in motion for greater things to come. Each generation has built upon the foundations of Henschke. In more recent times, fourth-generation Cyril Henschke pioneered varietal and single-vineyard wines at a time when blended wines and fortifieds were in vogue. His greatest legacy was the creation of Hill of Grace and Mount Edelstone in the 1950s, shiraz wines from Eden Valley that have captured the red wine world’s imagination.
