Cetrel was formely created as an environmental protection company 40 years ago, to treat efluents and solid residues of more than 70 industries of the Camaçari Industrial Complex in Bahia, as well as air monitoring of the area and its surroundings. Looking at new opportunities in the environmental area, the company started an R&D group to develop technology focusing on adding value to efluents and solid residues of different industries.
