> National Center for Innovation in Glass Our experts and engineers work in companies as close as possible to the realities of professionals, constraints in the implementation of glass, material, manufacturing process and its uses, either as part of training courses for manufacturers or as part of expertise, consulting, problem solving, technical assistance, new product development, processes or prototyping services. Within the framework of the Lorraine Pact and the development of the European Valley of Materials, Energy and Processes agreements, Cerfav also develops research, sharing and expertise programmes with companies. Our current focuses are glass-metal sealing, bioactive glass and materials in extreme conditions. TRAINING Cerfav is the only French training centre totally dedicated to glass techniques and which prepares all glass CAPs through apprenticeship. From full-time training to advanced training and continuing education, Cerfav offers diploma courses in glass arts and techniques. It also offers training for manufacturers in the sector as well as leisure training for adults and school groups. CULTURE Cerfav organizes or participates in cultural events around the glass and crafts sector, and promotes the creations of former and current students. For the general public, Cerfav also offers an entertainment program and workshops to introduce glassmaking techniques.
