In 2009, after a mission trip to Liberia, West Africa, Mr. Lafferty founded CellMyLight based on the idea that a portable flash light could be powered by the sun and hold a charge to enable the West Africans to use an environmentally sound product by using it for light at night, it could be recharged during the day via the sun (i.e. solar), and be able to do extra functions such as recharge a cell phone or to run small devices like a radio or fan. And so, his product was born right in front of his eyes. By 2012, CellMyLight was ready to solve major problem areas whether abroad in developing nations or as an emergency-related safeguard in consumer's homes.
