CECRA Information

CECRA, the European Council for Motor Trades and Repairs is the European umbrella organisation regrouping national professional association representing the interests of the motor trade and repair businesses and European Dealer Councils on behalf of vehicle dealers for specific makes. The main aim of CECRA is to promote the interests of its members and above all maintain a favourable European regulatory framework for the 380,000 enterprises of motor trade and repair businesses it represents through national associations and European Dealer Councils. CECRA provides representation to its members within the European Institutions. CECRA’s work consists of monitoring the work of the institutions, developing and maintaining high representation within the institutions with the aim of following-up as well as influence the decision-making process. There is more to the automotive dealer and repair sector than meets the eye. The companies and enterprises CECRA represents are an essential element in our society. In direct contact with the consumers, not only do they sell, maintain and repair cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles … they also play a key role in protecting the environment and are in the front line of road safety.
