The International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP) is a global charity dedicated to eliminating high‑risk roads and saving lives. We provide world-leading methodologies and tools for measuring and managing road infrastructure safety, and we work in partnership with governments, road authorities, development banks, research institutions, and civil society to make the world’s roads safer for everyone. The iRAP tools have been used in more than 140 countries to assess the safety of some 4.2 million km of streets, roads and highways and influence design and construction projects worth more than $120 billion. It is estimated that projects which have made use of the iRAP tools and resources have prevented more than 860,000 deaths and serious injuries globally by the end of 2024. Our iRAP family spirit connects people and partners worldwide to ensure we solve problems once and share success quickly.
