Castaway Cellars owners Scott and Shelly Crawford have been ardent lovers of wine for nearly two decades. Their passion for wine and learning inevitably led to a home wine making hobby, which rather quickly turned into the creation of Castaway Cellars. The Castaway Cellars label was inspired by a love for the outdoors, and the place they call home in beautiful North Idaho. The familys mission as a family-owned boutique winery, is to provide their customers with well-crafted, small batch wines from a variety of exceptional vineyards in the pacific northwest. And while producing high quality wines is their passion, it is equally important to them to provide a warm and friendly tasting room atmosphere. We want your experience with us to be fun, educational, and memorable. Wed like you to have as much fun tasting the wines as we did making them for you. Shelly Crawford grew up in Missoula, MT and holds both Viticulture and Enology Certificates from Washington State University. Scott Crawford hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Crawford's settled in Coeur d'Alene in September of 2006 when Scott opened his own chiropractic office in nearby Post Falls, where he continues to work at his "day job". In addition to making wine, they have three children that tend to keep them very busy.
