Carverter (2018-2022) offered a unique technology led solution to enpower users to lease the perfect electric car for their needs and to 'go greener sooner'. Unfortunately the global post-covid semi conductor shortage significantly impacted new electric car delivery times - pushing many lead times from 3 months to 24 months. Furthermore it caused a 'black swan' used car market whereby some second hand cars were selling from more than 40% of the price of brand new ones. Facing these unprecendented market conditions Carverter's management took the decision to enter into solvent voluntary liquidation on 1st February 2022, returning remaining funds to investors.
