SNG Barratt is the world’s largest independent supplier and manufacturer of parts and accessories for Jaguars. Started in the late 1970s by Hazel and Stephen Barratt, the company began by accident when Stephen put an advert in the paper selling some parts for an E-Type he had used as a donor car to mend his own. Such was the demand for these parts that a gap in the market became apparent and they started to set about filling it, both through acquiring old stock to sell on and then, bit by bit, to remanufacture items for the E-Type that were no longer available at the time. The remanufacturing process started by out-sourcing a small number of items through contacts in the UKs industrial heartland in the Midlands. Over the years it expanded to 1000’s of parts manufactured both in house as well as through this broad range of suppliers. In the 1990s SNG Barratt purchased Sovy UK, the original supplier of many electrical components for Jaguar, Aston Martin and many other British car manufacturers. This allowed them to manufacture a vast range of electrical lines. This continued re-investment in the Jaguar marque allows long obsolete parts to once again grace the shelves guaranteeing the future of many historically important vehicles. Weekly shipments from UK HQ to all the branches allow international customers’ access to all the hundreds of thousands of product lines that SNG Barratt offer with fully stocked warehouses and local sales people at each branch. Still a family run business, SNG Barratt’s range now cover every Jaguar model from 1949 to present day and their customers have unrivalled access to the part required, through the team of dedicated and knowledgeable salesmen.
