Carolina Explorer offers ocean and inshore fishing trips in the Southport Area. The Cape Fear River and its marshes produce some of the best fishing on the east coast. I can pick you up at the boat ramp on fish factory road in Southport. If you are staying on Bald Head Island, I will pick you up just inside Bald Head Marina from one of many docks in the harbor. There is a $100 fuel and time surcharge for me to pick you up in Southport or Bald Head Island. Once we are on our way, you will enjoy some of the most scenic and best fishing spots in the area. From Zeke's Island Reserve to the lower Caper Fear river you will have endless options of places to cast a line. With over 21 years experience fishing along the Cape Fear region, we know what it takes to give you, your friends, or your family a fun and professional fishing trip! With our inshore fishing charters, we will visit the waters of the Intracoastal Waterways, as well as salt marshes and tidal creeks. We will be casting for Red Drums, Speckled Trout, Gray Trout, Sheepshead, flounder, and sharks. Our offshore fishing trips take place a half mile to 5 miles off Carolina Beach, and along Southport. We will troll or cast for Spanish mackerel, King mackerel, Red Drum, Gray Trout, Black Sea Bass, sharks and more. Our fishing charters are anywhere between 4 to 6 hours. We can carry up to 4 anglers (5 if you are a family with small children). Carolina Explorer provides you with a fishing license, bait, ice, and tackle. Just make sure to bring along some food, drinks, a small cooler, sunscreen and your eagerness to catch some fish!
