CareSet Information

CareSet is the Medicare layer in the pharma data stack, built on 100% MONTHLY access to Original Medicare claims, Parts A, B, and D, with 25 years of longitudinal history. We see every brand, account, and payor in that data. Raw claims aren't insight, and we have spent more than a decade analyzing one of the largest and most complex datasets in healthcare. We have worked with more than 200 brands to size markets in populations too small for standard reporting, build NPI-level target lists before launch, and show how referrals move between physicians and which physicians influence others. Each month, we alert field teams to new prescribers, competitive switches, and line-of-therapy shifts, and we map which specialty and retail pharmacies fill each brand. That work runs from pre-clinical strategy and trial recruitment through market access, commercial operations, and IRA planning, across therapeutic areas from oncology to rare disease. The other half of our work is public. Since 2012 we have released DocGraph, our Medicare referral network data, which shows the physician-to-physician referral patterns drawn from Medicare claims so researchers can map provider networks, find the gaps, and follow referrals as they move. We release a new dataset every year and keep access free or affordable for researchers and journalists. Our work has supported investigations by ProPublica and The Wall Street Journal, peer-reviewed studies, and the federal COVID-19 response. We are The Medicare Data Authority.
