Canetique, located in Varennes, Quebec, is a start-up technology company that has developed the first and only non-precious metal catalyst generating power levels comparable to platinum-based PEM fuel cells. Established in 2010, its main focus is the development and commercialization of non-precious metal catalysts and catalyst-derived products for the cathode of low temperature fuel cells with strong focus on proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells, making them cost-competitive with existing electrical power generation technologies in a wide range of applications. Canetique is currently in its product development phase and is supported by provincial and federal government grants as well as the automotive industry. Canetique is also proud to be supported by MSBi Valorisation and works closely with the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique and its world leading research team in the field of non-precious metal catalysts for PEM fuel cells.
