A non-profit, year-round environmental education center on the coast of Maine in Wiscasset - offering summer camps, wilderness trips, a high school semester and school year programs for all ages. In addition, we own and manage several other parcels and islands in Maine for our use, and/or for protection - including Chewonki's Big Eddy Campground and Debsconeag Wilderness Camps.
For 40 years, Camp Sunshine has provided hope, joy and community through unique experiences for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. At our pristine campus on Sebago Lake in Maine, more than 60,000 children, siblings, parents, and caregivers from all 50 states and 27 countries have come together for fun-filled, year-round sessions with families just like theirs. And, thanks to the incredible support of donors and volunteers, our programs are 100% free. Camp Manitou is a premier boys instructional camp that prides itself on its experienced staff, excellent facilities and broad selection of activities. Manitou campers range in age from 7-16 and attend for 3 1/2 or 7 weeks of the summer. Campers activities include baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, lacrosse, waterskiing, wakeboarding, sailing, swimming, acting and much more.
