CalmCo was founded by Luc Cos in January 2009 in the Netherlands. With his many years of experience managing the North European Operations at CDK Global, Luc noticed that many DMS and ERP systems had the same shortcomings: they were missing consolidated, day-to-day reports for managers and owners. Developing a Modern BI Solution In September 2015, CalmCo launched a business intelligence (BI)-as-a-Service platform that offers a complete, cloud-based BI solution for all Dealer Management Systems (DMSs) in the Belgian and European markets. We developed a highly efficient manner of transferring local data from the customer to one’s own cloud infrastructure. The solution quickly delivers relevant data to all business users through a dedicated client on Windows, Mac, or Linux, via a web portal, or via a dedicated iOS and Android app. Driving Results for European Auto Dealers In 2019, we embarked on our first automotive project for Netherlands' largest dealer group, Van Mossel. In less than eight months, we built a data warehouse that consolidated data from seven different DMSs and an application for leasing companies into standardized databases. CalmCo’s business intelligence as-a-service (BIaaS) platform is powered by TARGIT Decision Suite, the proprietary BI and analytics software developed by our parent company, TARGIT. Our solution allows automotive customers to deploy a ready-to-use BI solution. Dealers can integrate CalmCo with their preferred dealer management system (DMS) and all other operational platforms.
