Caidio Information

Caidio (2018–2025) was a Finnish climate tech startup developing data-driven technologies to optimize the quality and productivity of concrete production. Concrete is the most widely used material in the urbanizing world. Even when buildings are not made of concrete, they are typically built on it. Due to the scale of the industry, concrete production accounts for approximately 10% of industrial water consumption and around 8% of global CO₂ emissions. Caidio’s technology demonstrated how data-driven optimization can help the concrete industry improve sustainability, reduce costs, and enhance production quality. During its operation, the company worked to show the tangible impact that digitalization and advanced analytics can have in heavy industry. Caidio is no longer operating as an active company, but the work done and insights gained remain relevant for the ongoing transformation of industrial sustainability.
