BWFCA Information

1. What age does my child need to be to participate? 2. What league do the Bandits compete in? The Bandits are part of the Pop Warner Little Scholars which is the largest youth football league in the country. Pop Warner is the only leagu that recognizes the academic achievements of the participants by hosting Little Scholar Banquet to those students who maintain a 96% or above GPA during the school year. 3. Where are home games played? The Bandits home field is Redmond Park 735 E. Jefferson St. Bensenville, IL 4. How many games do the teams play? The Bandits have an 8 week regular season schedule. The Jr. Pee Wee through Unlimited levels can earn a spot in the playoffs based on their records. The Tiny Mite and Mitey Mite can participate in bowl games by invitation only. 5. When does the season start? The first day of practice is August 1st. The first games of the season are usually the last weekend in August or the first weekend in September. Early bird registration in $210 on Super Bowl Saturday. The regular registration fee is $180 for Tiny Mite and $230 for all other levels and for cheer. Our mission as a program is to promote, encourage, operate and direct football and cheerleading programs for the youth of Bensenville, Wood Dale and the surrounding areas of DuPage county, Illinois. In an effort to support the physical, mental, social and educational welfare of all our student-athletes in our programs, to promote the ideals of good citizenship and good sportsmanship through organized athletics, the BWFCA board, (a team of volunteers) commits their time, technical and professional expertise, to provide a fun, safe and supportive environment for organized youth athletics, through the BWFCA, the dedicated members/mentors of the board feel that by guiding our student -athletes in the following attributes, education, commitment, teamwork and leadership, we can mold a few generation of positive, productive citizens to our community.
